Arabs Away - Celebrating Dundee United Supporters
To celebrate 25 years since the first Scottish Cup win of 1994, and Dundee United’s 110th birthday, this is a football book with a difference. It isn’t really about the club, the team, the goals, or games in a direct sense. It is about you. This is a record of the Arabs’ experience. All those cup finals you travelled to Hampden for, all those European jaunts you set out on, all the celebrations you had when there were reasons to celebrate.
The book contains around 230 photos, most of which have never been seen before.
There are photos of you, your mates, your family past and present. They record the breakthrough of 1960, the first silverware kisses of 1979 and ’80, the triumph of ’83, the “at last” achievement of ’94, the pride of ’87, and the ultimate party of 2010. It visits the Nou Camp, the Ullevi… The Smuggler’s Bar and the Hawkhill Tavern.
There has never been a football book like this. There has never been a celebration of Arabs like this.
It’s so Shed it is almost Shimmy.
